Registrations are open for participation to the third edition of the FLORENCE DESIGN WEEK-International Design Festival, 22/27 May 2012.
Florence Design Week is an event dedicated to the Design in all its forms, to art and ingenuity, understood as instruments of communication and promotion of local culture and identity in global vision. Florence Design Week is an unmissable event for industry experts, professionals, entrepreneurs, companies, teachers, students, creative Italians and foreigners.
Already in collaboration with the London Design Festival and Melbourne Design Week, this third edition opens more and more to international scenarios confirming role of Florence and Tuscany as a territory open to discussion on the themes of cultural growth, technological innovation and sustainable development. The aim of the Festival is to create an interaction between the various languages of design (graphic and visual, industrial, interior, fashion, music and food), focusing on interdisciplinary, sustainability, interculturality and at the same time the identity and tradition.
The theme chosen for the 2012 is CONNECTING TIME: moment of connection between past and future, between digital language and material form, but also the connections between the different languages of the creative world.

Sono aperte le iscrizioni per la partecipazione alla terza edizione del FLORENCE DESIGN WEEK - International Design Festival, in programma dal 22 al 27 Maggio 2012.
Florence Design Week è una manifestazione dedicata al Design in tutte le sue forme, all’arte e all’ingegno, intesi come strumenti di comunicazione e di valorizzazione della cultura e dell’identità locale nella visione globale.
Florence Design Week è un appuntamento imperdibile per esperti del settore, professionisti, imprenditori, Aziende, docenti, studenti, creativi italiani e stranieri.
Già in collaborazione con London Design Festival e Melbourne Design Week, questa Terza edizione si apre sempre di più a scenari internazionali confermando il ruolo di Firenze e della Toscana come un territorio aperto al confronto sui temi della crescita culturale, dell’innovazione tecnologica e dello sviluppo sostenibile. L’intento del Festival è quello di creare un’interazione tra i vari linguaggi del design (graphic e visual, industrial, fashion, interior, music and food), puntando sulla interdisciplinarità, la sostenibilità, l’interculturalità ed allo stesso tempo l’identità e la tradizione.
Il tema scelto per il 2012 è CONNECTING TIME: connessione tra passato e futuro, tra linguaggio digitale e forma materica, ma anche connessioni tra i diversi linguaggi del mondo creativo
