Hannah Rose Weiss, my daughter, is a 6th grade Lusher Charter School student. She is also a member and student at Touro Synagogue. She will be celebrating her bat mitzvah in October of 2012. To become a bat mitzvah she must complete a mitzvah project. Her project must be something she is passionate about. Music is Hannah Rose’s passion. She has been singing since she was a baby, and she plays the guitar and violin. She is in Lusher’s Talented at Music program and is a member of the orchestra. Her project will be to raise money to buy instruments for NOLAs underprivileged students so that they can experience the joy of music. Hannah has partnered with Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews & Orleans Avenue and Stacy Beyer for a benefit concert May 12th, 2012 at the French Quarter Tipitina’s. There will also be an auction including fabulous items like restaurant gift certificates, original high value art, gift baskets, and jewelry. Please consider supporting her project. You can participate by purchasing a $50 ticket to the concert and auction, donating an item to the auction, or becoming a sponsor for the event. We also have tickets to a catered Patron Party available.
