Join Us Dec 15 – Dec 31, 2012 for Inca-tek 2012 Ecosystem Festival
Overview:
Inca-tek 2012 Ecosystem Festival is a participants only, free ecological autonomous gathering, based on open source ideals and philosophies.
Mission:
Inca-tek 2012 is an event designed to raise awareness of the all ecosystems. We gathering with the intentions of creating a space that nurtures an environment where participants can host a series of skill share workshops and ecological presentations designed to bring about concepts in sustainable living, aqua-culture, permaculture, bio-dynamic farming, rainwater harvesting, sustainable energies, holistic medicine and other relative topics.
We would like to draw upon and inspire people from around the world to come together to create a thriving environment for education, art and culture while assuring this to be an ecologically sound event. This is an autonomous, participant only, open source event. This concept allows for the space to serve as a nurturing ground for a hands on experience in ecological community development and networking. The focus of this event is to work together bringing to life ecological concepts in sustainable living.
As the event comes to an end, we will present our host community with the gift of our work done, in hopes to inspire them to use such concepts in future development and growth. Every other year the Inca-tek organization will choose a new destination to set forth this Inca-tek philosophy while sharing upon its wisdom gains through it’s experience and growth.
General Information:
In keeping with open source ideals, Incatek 2012 ecosystem festival aims to function as a communal effort with leaderships arising based on an individuals merit, energy and enthusiasm for any particular part of its organizing, promoting, etc. A meritocracy, simply put, is a system in which the leadership is rewarded and advanced based on his/her talent & ability (merit). Incatek ecosystem festival and its various core projects and events are flexible and open to anyone to participate in, or lead, based on merit or enthusiasm. Incatek ecosystem festival is open to anyone willing to create new projects, suggest new projects, or ideas, or contribute in their own way.
2012 has a special significance in popular culture; some believe it will bring the apocalypse, because the Mayan calendar “ends” in December of 2012. However, the Mayan calendar simply resets in 2012, beginning a new calendar cycle. We believe this is a time for us to party like it’s the end of the world, and to spread sustainable ideas and open source culture and create a model for a new, better, more environmentally/socially friendly way of doing things to meet our needs. It is our desire to help bring awareness to an alternative way of doing things for this new era, and leave something to inspire and give hope to our Peruvian hosts, and to the world. We welcome you to join us in putting our own energies into this collective effort. As we vibrate in harmony in Cusco, other known as the navel of the earth during this galactic alignment. Let us dance with the clouds at 12,000 feet in elevation. Let us educate each other, strengthen our global community networks and thrive as one to create a sustainable world.
Thank you for your interest in joining us for this effort.
