After a fantastically successful first event, Digital Berkshire kicks off event number two at its official home - South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell on Thursday 16th February, 2012. We have a fascinating speaker lined up for the evening - the one and only Thomas Power, Chairman of Ecademy. A professional speaker and well-known for his bold views on a variety of subjects, Thomas will present his views on why 2012 is the year you should get serious about Google+, with his presentation, entitled: Battle of the Titans - Google+ vs. Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn. "Google is not putting Google Plus into Google. Google is putting Google into Google Plus. The breadth and depth of their implementation is massive and makes Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin look just like an idea. Albeit good ideas.Adding one new piece everyday Google+ are going to come and come and keep on coming until we all remember when we used to use Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin circa 2015." "Don't for a moment think Facebook et al are going away. They're not. But do expect Facebook, Twitter (facebook lite), Linkedin (facebook pro) to become one company in 2012 before adding ebay (facebook marketplace and facebook bank through paypal ) and Yahoo (facebook search) in 2013." There will be plenty of chances to discuss and pose questions to Thomas during his presentiaton and following his talk, there will be the opportunity to meet, network and share your views with other members of the Digital Berkshire community. To read up on Thomas prior to the event, you can find him on Google Plus and on Twitter @thomaspower.
