Bell Let’s Talk Day is is the anti-stigma centerpiece of the company’s five-year, $50-million charitable program in support of mental health initiatives across Canada.
On February 8th, you're encouraged to join the conversation about mental illness and help take the fear and stigma out of seeking help. Bell will contribute 5¢ for every long-distance call or text message sent using the Bell network, along with 5¢ for re-tweet of their official message (
http://twitter.com/Bell_Letstalk).
Last year, 66 million texts and long-distance calls were made—which resulted in a donation of $3,303,961.80 by Bell to mental health initiatives across Canada.
Starting the conversation is often harder than actually talking about an issue, so we urge you all to start things off! Talk to your family, friends and colleagues about mental health and addictions. And, encourage them to do the same.
