ADIOS AMIGO
Adios Amigo's music is derived from John Major’s experiences as a drummer in a pop-punk band in Davis, CA (where he attended college) and as bassist in a funk-rock band in Novato, CA (where he attended high school), as well as a profound musical appreciation of 50s doo wop and Motown, The Beatles, indie rock bands such as Broken Social Scene, The Strokes and The Shins, as well as singer-songwriter, Elliott Smith. “Starting off with a rollicking instrumental track, the rest of the self-titled EP continues to slow down as it progresses with a dose of mid-tempo jangle-pop and guitar work that sounds reminiscent of Red House Painters or The Sea and Cake. Each successive track feels mellower than the last: a good EP for the setting sun.” --OnlineRock.com

GOLD MEDALISTS
Formed loosely in 2008, the San Francisco quartet Gold Medalists have evolved from an eclectic musical side project of Bay Area musician Peter Nguyen (Ee, Total Shutdown) into a mature, fully realized band consisting of Nguyen on vocals and guitar, bassist Stanley Lam (Scrabbel), guitar player Jason Cornwell, and drummer Steve Hinan. Complemented with Nguyen's personal-but-relatable lyrics and themes of the past, friendship, and love, Gold Medalists found a loyal and loving fan base, and in the fall of 2011, headed into the studio with well-known engineer Eli Crews (New, Improved Recording) to record their debut self-titled EP.
