Paul Gower - YFM Private Equity - £45 million Development Capital
Paul spent eight years at Burmah Castrol plc in a range of analytial, marketing and business development roles. Gaining a MBA after full time study at Manchester Business School, he worked within Pricewaterhouse Cooper's Business Regeneration Department prior to undertaking an interim General Manager position within the Halo Group. Paul joined YFM Venture Finance in November 2003 as an Investment Manager with the South Yorkshire Investment Fund. He has since moved to the Manchester office and works for YFM Private Equity.
David Smith - AXM Venture Capital - £15 million Digital & Creative Fund
David joined AXM Venture Capital in 2011, with 25 years experience in advising and investing in growth companies, and has specialised over that time in the TMT sector. He has worked in venture capital, stockbroking and corporate finance with companies including 3i and KPMG. He has supported many software, IT services, creative and media companies from early stage funding through to IPO or sale.
Doug Stellman - EV Group - £30 million Venture Capital Fund
Doug has worked in venture capital since 1993 in technology with a focus on start-up and early stage in the sub £5m category. Deals include Nanoco (nano-tech), Amacis (software), DxS (molecular diagnostics), Spiratech (semi-con), Metronet (wireless comms)

SPARK Impact manages the North West Fund for Biomedical, which provides venture capital finance to biomedical businesses, based in, or relocating to, the North West of England. SPARK Impact is part of the SPARK Ventures group.
Mike Bakewell, Investment Manager, North West Fund 4 Energy & Environmental
The North West Fund is a £184.8m evergreen investment fund established to provide debt and equity funding to small and medium sized enterprises in the North West of England. Of this £20 million is dedicated to energy and environmental companies. The Fund will address an identified gap in the lending, venture capital and private equity markets. Michael is an experienced venture capitalist with previous investment roles with Enterprise Ventures, Alliance Fund Managers and Finance Wales' Equity Fund. He has been a venture capital investor for 10 years and in this time has led or managed over 30 investments across a range of industry sectors.
