Marushka is a native Los Angelino, her ancestral roots reaching around the globe from Croatia to the Polynesian Isles. Exposed to culturally unique, creative influences, tribal sounds and foreign sorts of musical celebration, Marushka pairs her exotic heritage with the old school blues, soul/motown and rock music she absorbed duringher American adolescence. Honored to be accompanied by such awe-inspiring, multi-talented players, Marushka's latest project 'TRIBE' consists of a loosely structured improvisation on the part of seasoned world traveling professional players, allowing for freedom of flow and simultaneous synchronicity of sound. Ranging from world beat percussion to the rare Hang instrument, from upright bass to the electric guitar, each performance is a mystery of love unto itself.
