SUMMARY:1st Annual Dallas Stiletto Stampede for the Cure

 IdealHeel &amp\; NChantment and brought to you by FIAT on
 Thursday May 24\, 2012. Proceeds will benefit Komen Dallas County
 Affiliate and rehab programs developed by the Stiletto Stampede

 The Stiletto Stampede for the Cure is a high heel 100-yard dash
 with a mission to encourage young women and men to understand the
 risks of breast cancer and empower them to prevent the disease by
 utilizing overall breast self-awareness through early detection
 and screening methods. This year’s event will compete for a
 Guinness Book of World Record for 1\,000 persons in high heels.

 The first 1\,000 registrants will receive a commemorative pair of
 pink stilettos. The Nchantment Breast Cancer Awareness Shoe was
 created by Lauren Jones Footwear\, designed by Nchantment Image
 Consultant Darla Parsons. All participants will receive a
 commemorative Guinness Book of World Records event medallion\,
 race tank and a goodie bag stuffed with treasures.\n

 Stiletto Stampede is in partner with D Magazine\, Tootsies\,
 Where Wear in the City and  francisco+co. \n

 About the Stiletto Stampede Organization\n

 In 2009\, a group of volunteers\, now the Stiletto Stampede
 nonprofit organization created the Stiletto Stampede for the
 Cure™. This exciting concept evolved into a high heel dash with
 a mission to encourage young women and men to know and understand
 the risks of breast cancer and empower them to prevent the
 disease by utilizing overall Breast Self-Awareness through Early
 Detection\, Screening Methods and Education.  Proceeds from each
 Stiletto Stampede for the Cure benefit local Susan G Komen for
 the Cure Affiliates\, as well as outreach education and rehab

 About the Dallas County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen®\n
 \n
 Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister\, Susan G. Komen\, she
 would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever\,
 and in 1982 that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The
 Komen Dallas County Affiliate is a part of the world’s largest
 and most progressive grassroots network fighting breast cancer.
 Through events like the Komen Dallas Race for the Cure\, Komen
 Dallas County has awarded more than $13 million towards the fight
 against breast cancer by funding grassroots breast health
 education and breast cancer screening and treatment projects\, as
 well as national research. Up to 75 percent of net proceeds
 generated by Komen Dallas County stay in the Dallas County area
 while the remaining twenty-five percent supports the Susan G.
 Komen for the Cure Grants Program for research. On Saturday\,
 October 20\, 2012 the affiliate will host the 30th Komen Dallas

 STILETTO STALLIONS\n
 WHO: A group of young male leaders in the community with a
 personal connection to breast cancer or dedication to
 philanthropy\, chosen to serve as spokesmen for Stiletto Stampede
 for the Cure. \n

 WHAT: Stiletto Stallions will support Stiletto Stampede for the
 Cure through their professional and social networks and encourage
 event participation. They will help draw attention to the mission
 of Stiletto Stampede for the Cure\, to encourage young women and
 men to know and understand the risks of breast cancer and empower
 them to prevent the disease by utilizing overall Breast
 Self-Awareness through Early Detection\, Screening Methods and
 Education.\n

 WHY: Breast cancer affects everyone – in our workplaces\, our
 families and our friends. One in eight women in America will be
 diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. \n
