Composer, producer, arranger and keyboardist Michael Omartian has been producing hit records over the span of four decades. As a writer and producer of songs for movies such as Arthur, The Karate Kid 2 and Anastasia, Michael has straddled the role of both composer and songwriter, and has extensive and unique experience crafting music that must work in context of both underscore and song, as well as supporting the picture while standing on its own. Michael's seminar will bring this experience to you.
To demonstrate how a song can be produced in many different ways in the context of a film, Michael will pick one song submitted by one of you and will produce it in the studio live with some of Nashville's top session players. The song will be recorded on the spot with Michael producing the session, explaining each step of the process. If you'd like your song to be considered for the event, please use these guidelines to submit -- please note, it isn't necessary to submit a song in order to attend the event.

- The song should be about 3 minutes in duration.

- Please provide the song in mp3 format and attach the lyrics in a text (.txt) or Word (.doc) file. Please title and tag your mp3's with your name.
