Here’s the perfect opportunity to practice your portrait photography skills. This one-day workshop will take place along South Congress Avenue. The models will be the steady cast of characters we find along the way. Anyone that has taken a street workshop with me in the past knows that there will be no shortage of friendly and interesting people to photograph (Hey, this is Austin, the city different!). I will be by your side reeling in the “models,” helping with posing and sharing my technical and compositional expertise. You can shift to making professional and sophisticated portrait images, instead of producing the amateur “snapshot” look. During this workshop you will also learn how to approach people on the street that you want to photograph, teaching you what to say to gain their enthusiasm to be photographed.
Towards the end of the session we will share and review images from the shoots on your laptops highlighting your success. Get ready to learn, have fun, meet lots of wonderful people, and fill up your personal portfolio with portrait images. I will have model releases available that can be signed by the models in order to give you publishing rights to the images taken.
TO REGISTER: Please send me an email saying you want to attend. I will reply with the details: mlongphoto@gmail.com
