New music festival, Sounds From the Other City returns on Sunday 6 May, 2012 for its 8th year with more than 60 new bands, live art, spoken-word performances and much more in Salfords Chapel Street.

The festival of all things new celebrates its eighth birthday in 2012 having played host to some serious and eclectic array of talent over the years.

Back in 2007, for example, THE TING TINGS played in the cosy surrounds of Chapel Streets Rovers Return, while in 2009 chart-topping MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS (of Hollywood and Im not A Robot fame) pulled off a similar trick in Sacred Trinity church, whilst Wire Magazine Artist of 2011 JAMES FERRARO was doing his thing up the road in From Space Studios..
