Hey all! What’s the MKE Shindig, you ask? Well, I’ll tell you. One day, a bunch of creative folk from Milwaukee, who were already headed to South by Southwest, had an idea. They said, “Hey, we love Milwaukee and there is a bunch of really cool stuff going on here; let’s spread the word!” Built off the success of past years' Milwaukee Beer and Brat Bash, the MKE Shindig was born!

This lunchtime showcase at the South by Southwest Interactive festival in Austin,Texas, will highlight the creative aspects of Milwaukee by including live music, food, drink, technology and more -- all straight from Brew City. The event, being held at Cedar Street Courtyard, a fantastic outdoor venue in downtown Austin, is a collaboration between folks of all different backgrounds and occupations with one thing in common: they live in and love Milwaukee.

Two Milwaukee bands I’m Not a Pilot and Fresh Cut Collective will be playing, with the third act being local to Austin and booked through MKE's own live music crowdsourcing platform, Shindig.

Local sponsor, Johnsonville Sausage (http://www.johnsonville.com) will be providing authentic Milwaukee fare along with the authentic Milwaukee feel.
