You may know Jeffrey Ma as a member of the MIT Blackjack Team featured in the best-selling book Bringing Down the House and the box office-topping hit movie 21. In February 2012, Ma will release the paperback version of his book, The House Advantage: Playing the Odds to Win Big in Business, which tells the story of how he went from the blackjack table to corporate business. But there is more to this entrepreneur and media mogul than blackjack.

For the last 15 years Ma has been working in the startup world. His most recent success was Citizen Sports (which sold to Yahoo) and married social media, sports and analytics. Before that Ma was the technology lead at CircleLending which sold to Virgin and was used to launch the Virgin Money brand in the US. Currently, Ma is working on a new company called tenXer which is trying to revolutionize human capital management from the bottom up with an initial focus on software engineers.
