That is\, I have taken the blood seep towel from a fresh tattoo and made prints on to cotton paper from India. After printing all that is left on the sheet is a shadow of the tattoo. It is pretty neat.\n \n My plan is to combine the prints with poetry inspired by the recipient of the tattoo and hopefully eventually photographs of the tattoo and the tattoo recipient. I hope to get at least 25 people and then put on a show. (Suggestions for venue would be helpful). I am looking for participants. \n \n If you or anyone you know is getting a tattoo in the near future and is willing to participate\, please let me know. The commitment requires\, obviously\, giving me your blood\, and fifteen to twenty minutes to interview you about the reasons for your tattoo and also stories about yourself. Finally\, it will also require an additional fifteen minutes to take some photos of you after your tattoo has healed.\n \n All in all I hope to create something creepy\, beautiful\, unsettling and magical. I want to focus on themes of loss and renewal\, nihilism and personal speculation. I could use all the volunteers I can get.\n \n The picture to the left is something of a prototype. The last panel was at one point the towel with the image of the tattoo left on it after the blood was fully extracted but...as dogs do\, Rita pulled the disgusting animal card and partially ate it..but\, I think it was somewhat of a happy accident. As\, you can see I am still figuring out the process and I am still thinking about how I was to structure the words to make it look a little more sophisticated\, but this is the basic idea.
