“The Joy Run” is a special concept where people from various cities run at the same time on the same day with everyone running for a cause. “The Joy Run” is a pure fund – raising event meant for charitable causes and an opportunity for hundreds of NGOs across India to promote their causes and also raise funds through a 5 - 10km run. 26th of February, 2012, will have superstar film personalities, sports celebrities, mega TV stars and various other eminent personalities supporting the causes of various NGOs. The first of its kind, this noble effort will add more cities across India with every passing year. With the support of every citizen who enjoys giving back to the society, “The Joy Run” will be the largest run in history and the most important day in the NGO calendar. By 2016, “The Joy Run” will take place simultaneously in various countries.
The initiative is a joint effort of “I Love My Mother Earth” Foundation (www.ilmme.org) and Gul Panag’s SOAP (Social Outreach Accreditation Program – www.soaponline.in)
