Sandbloom a Southern California native, has been singing and writing songs since he was a very young man. Picking up a pair of drum sticks first, he would find at the age of 16 that the guitar was more suited to his smooth style. His early inspiration came from artists like Bob Marley and The Specials, so naturally most of his first tunes were reggae inspired. His musical horizons would be greatly broadened when he was introduced to the 70's recordings of Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone and later De La Soul and Sade. This soulful influx fused with those first island muses to create a warm, sexy sound that you would be hard pressed to confine to a genre.
This indefinable sound got the attention of several independent film makers and heavy hitters in the entertainment industry, landing him features on projects by Lawrence Fishburne and former Prince engineer, Susan Rogers as well as fronting a number of bands that received a large underground following.
