The Robot Framework is a generic open source test automation framework for acceptance testing and acceptance test-driven development (ATDD). It has an easy-to-use tabular syntax for creating test cases and its testing capabilities can be extended by generic and custom test libraries (a.k.a. fixtures).
In this session, Pekka Klarck provides a thorough introduction of the most important features of the framework, its history, and the typical use cases. The theory part will be kept short and most of the time spent with demonstrations. The first demo will show how to create test cases in practice, and it also illustrates how to do web testing with SeleniumLibrary. The second demo concentrates on ATDD, but it also shows how to use SwingLibrary and how to create a custom test library for testing below the GUI.
