Social Media for B2B
Our next not-to-be-missed Brown Bag Thursday lunch will feature a panel discussion on social networking led by Adam Helweh of Secret Sushi Creative, a digital marketing, design web development company. ICR members Irene Nelson and Jennel McDonald will join in the discussion.
Together, we’ll explore:
Using Social Networks to Grow Your Business
• Understanding the major social networks
• Advantages/disadvantages
• Tips & trends
• Any newcomers to investigate outside of the usual suspects?
Time permitting, we can talk about:
Developing a social media strategy for your business or organization
• What does this mean?
• How to measure
• Getting started
As Adam’s website states: “Welcome to the social web. Countless discussions are happening across the internet each day. Are they talking about you or a service you offer? What opportunities are you missing? The multitude of possibilities and ever-changing technology can feel overwhelming. We translate your business objectives into a measurable social media strategy that makes sense. Find out how.”
In addition to Adam’s expertise, Jennel has agreed to answer questions about B2B Facebook. Irene will share her experience with Twitter, which started “2 years, 7 months, 2 weeks, 3 days, 10 hours, 21 minutes, 46 seconds ago.” (As of February 7th at 10:10am.) “I signed on to Twitter and I have been hooked ever since,” Irene says, “I can tell you more about my experiences, my sense of community, and be happy to answer questions about my knowledge.”
Don’t miss this timely topic!
NEW REGISTRATION SITE
Celine Cheung has done a great job of getting our programs listed on our registration site,
http://sfiabc.camp9.org/events, through May. She adds these helpful hints if this is your first time registering on Wild Apricot: “If they are SF IABC members, please ask them to use the email they use for their IABC membership. If they’ve never logged in before, they can click the “forgot password” link to set one up for themselves as well as modify their email and privacy settings.” Also, please click the box that reads: “Include name in list of event attendees.” This is very helpful in our planning and follow-up.
