DALLAS – Somewhere over the rainbow, birds may very well fly high, but those involved with the Color Crash exhibit at Art Hotel have wasted no time asking “why oh why can’t I?” With feet firmly planted on the ground, the participating artists have let their imaginations soar in a multi-hued art exhibit inspired by the Hindu Festival of Colours known as ‘Holi’.
Holi is an ancient festival, celebrated throughout India as a way of welcoming spring and the beautiful colors it ushers in. The tradition involves a riot of colors, as people toss handfuls of pigments in the air and at each other. By the end of the festival, everyone is drenched in color, thus resembling each other and losing their original self. In addition to the marvel of color, the true beauty of the celebration is the enthusiasm for brotherhood that it encourages.
Join the Art Hotel Artist’s Collective for Color Crash, an art exhibit greeting spring with a lively display of kaleidoscopic artwork.
In true spirit of the Holi Festival, during the opening reception photographer Sharon Neel-Bagley will offer a unique and affordable color-splashed portrait opportunity. Fore more info and map, public may view
