As part of National Coming Out of the Shadows week, we are organizing an event to talk about our experiences as undocumented and queer people (aka "undocu-queer").
In collaboration with Radio Arte's Homofrecuencia, we will be hosting a live Spanish-language radio show featuring LGBTQ undocumented organizers, as well as audience participants who would like to call in and share their stories (312-455-WRTE).
After the live radio show, we will be opening the doors for community members, undocu-queers, and our allies to have a conversation about all of our stories, frustrations, politics, strategies for survival... The conversation will take place so that it features undocumented queer experiences, but all members of the community will be able to participate.
6:00 PM Live broadcast of special Undocu-queer edition of Homofrecuencia, on 90.5 FM, or at
www.radioarte.org.
7:00-9:00 PM Undocu-Queer Community Gathering, at 1401 W. 18th Street.
