This April we're very excited and proud to be welcominga very special guest speaker… dr. sue black // @dr_black is a Senior Research Associate in the Software Systems Engineering group in the the Department of Computer Science at University College London, and a Senior Consultant with Cornerstone Global Associates. She recently won the PepsiCo Women's Inspiration Network award and she wrote a fantastically inspirational piece called If I can do it, so can youfor the award, well worth reading.Since 1998 Sue has been campaigning for equality, and more support for women in tech. She founded the online networks LondonBCSWomen in 1999 and BCSWomen in 2001, BCSWomen now has over 1200 members. Sue is recognised as being instrumental in the saving of the historically important, Bletchley Park, which is recoginised as the birthplace of the first programmable computer. Dr. Blacks's achievements are such that we wanted to focus on just one speaker this month as well as leaving plenty of time for an in-depth Q&A and of course, time for chatting with other girl geeks.
