Join us for an evening of music and the spoken word to celebrate the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ with choir, organ, string, and brass performances. Keynote address by W. Lincoln Watkins, President of the LDS San Jose Mission.

We are privileged to have consummate performer Bob Galbraith play the viola at this event. Bob plays in the first violin section of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and is a professional organist and composer/arranger. Read his bio at the San Francisco Opera website.

Internationally renowned organist James Welch will be performing on Stanford Memorial Church's exceptional organs. In addition to maintaining an active performing schedule, he is currently university organist, lecturer, and faculty member at Santa Clara University and organist at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Palo Alto. The talented Joanna Oshida will be playing piano for this concert. Joanna received her Master's degree in Piano Performance from the Peabody Conservatory and is a faculty member at Utah Valley University (http://www.uvu.edu/music/faculty/oshida.html) and the Gifted Music School (http://giftedmusicschool.org/prep/faculty/piano/). This concert will feature several hymn arrangements, including Christ the Lord Is Risen Today and Amazing Grace, as well as classical music from Handel's Messiah, Bach's St Matthew Passion, and Mendelssohn's Lobgesang. Come listen to music from the masters in beautiful Stanford Memorial Church--considered by many to be "among the most prominent" non-denominational churches on the West Coast.
