We are disappointed to say that SUNSET Season Opener must be postponed due to rain (see explanation below). However, the After-Party is ON! We have Sascha Dive here all the way from Germany so let's not mope around, let's get together and have some fun, drink libations, and dance.

**New SUNSET Season Opener Date**
Sunday, April 22nd, 2012

The Details:
As most of us can see, it's supposed to be clear and sunny on Sunday. However, the issue is the storm coming in Friday night and all day Saturday. Since Stafford Lake is a watershed it has a low saturation level. With the all rain the last few weeks it has kept the ground saturated. If it were to be clear til sunday we would be fine but with over a 1/2 inch rain expected in Novato there is no way the grass nor the dirt parking lots will be in any condition for all of us to park, dance, and frolic. For the last 3 years we have experienced rain well into the Spring which has caused us to be rained out consistently. This was never the case for our previous 15 years when the Season Opener was in March. Also, the weather has become increasingly less predicitable in the long term so when we set the date we felt we could just as much have a chance being rained out the beginning for April as we would in May. So we picked a date that was conducive to our schedule and fun. Well, it looks like Nature is getting the last laugh by playing the April Fools joke on us. But, all is not lost since we are just postponing and hope to have a stellar day in 3 weeks. We are sorry for all those who have traveled to the Bay Area to be with us but Mother Nature has it's own plan. We urge you all to come down to Monarch sunday evening (details below) so we can do a Sun Dance for the make-up date as well as enjoy the musical stylings of Sascha Dive + it's free from 6:30pm-8:30pm!

We thank you for your understanding, this has been a difficult decision but it's the right one given the nature of the event and all the entities involved to make it happen.
