Drinking Bikers of Anderson,
The time has come for us to once again mount out trusted Schwinn and Specialized steeds and take the beach communities of greater Los Angeles by storm. It is Tour de Strand time. Well, not really for another 4 months or so, but at least you can get it on your calendars early.
Let it be known that the 108th annual Anderson Tour de Strand will take place on Saturday, May 8, 2010. For those neophytes out there who are unaware of what the Tour de Strand is, simply picture yourself rollin' down the Los Angeles coastline on a sunny day atop a sweet beach cruiser, stopping at 8 drinking establishments along the way to rehydrate yourself with a few cold steins of suds, and you've pretty much got it. The tentative itinerary appears below (the specific schedule including arrival and departure times is still being worked on):
Big Dean’s Muscle In Cafe: 1615 Ocean Front Walk
Santa Monica
On the Waterfront: 205 Ocean Front Walk
Venice
Baja Cantina: 311 Washington Blvd
Marina Del Rey
Tony P’s: 4445 Admiralty Way
Marina Del Rey
The Shack: 185 Culver Blvd,
Playa Del Rey
Shellback Tavern: 116 Manhattan Beach Bl.
Manhattan Beach
Poopdeck: 1272 The Strand
Hermosa Beach
Naja’s: 154 International Boardwalk
Redondo Beach
Additionally, in conjunction with the Anderson student founded startup
www.swoopoff.com, we are negotiating a bike rental and pickup deal. To help them gauge demand for this service, we'd like you to fill out this 1-question survey:

Of course, this event is open to all - Anderson MBAs, EMBAs, FEMBAs, Alumni, significant others, friends, parents, in-laws, children (seriously though?), neighbors, acquaintances, co-workers, bosses, ex-lovers, and your neighborhood hobos are all welcome. However, leave the USC folk at home.
Tour Up and Tour On,
Your 2010 Organizers, Tommy Gaeta & Kate Stephenson
