Social Media: Keeping Up With The Audience. The media landscape is changing before your very eyes. News today can break first through social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. Journalists, celebrities and high-profile individuals use these channels to engage directly with their audiences. But how is this affecting the news and public relations businesses? How will the changing media landscape affect the campaigns that you've worked so hard to develop? And what will the media look like in five years' time? For this event we've brought together a panel of leading digital commentators, including: • Andrew Walker - Co-founder of Tweetminster and ThinMartian. Andrew was the first person to use Twitter to interview the former Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Today he provides insight on using social-technology. • Fergus Bell - Digital Newsgatherer and Senior Producer at The Associated Press. Fergus has worked across the media spectrum from local news radio to CNN and ITN. • Sam Duncan-Brown - Head of Innovation at A&N Media. Sam has worked for DMGT companies for the past 12 years, including titles from Northcliffe media and Associated Newspapers. Within A&N he is responsible for developing and driving innovative technology to maximise business. • Pete Clifton - Executive Producer at MSN UK. Pete has had careers in news and journalism, starting in local media before heading to the Press Association and the BBC, where between 2008 and 2011 he was the Head of Editorial Development, Multi-Media Journalism. The panel will be presenting their views and best practice tips before a debate and a Q&A from the audience. Drinks and canapés will be served after the event, so don't miss out and join some of the best people in PR and media at this exclusive event. We would like to thank MSN UK and Naked Wines for supporting this event.
