This Grok exists to get you out of your silo, build relationships with like-minded individuals, and to help strengthen our startup community.Â
Come chat with us, carry on a conversation, pose a question, share your startup experiences (good and bad), and get some feedback.
The Format
The day will be divided up into two hour blocks. Within those two hour blocks we will have 10/20s. 10 or 20 minute blocks of timed, rapid conversations. As we finish a 2 hour block and break for food the hope is that you take the opportunity and carry on those conversations as we socialize.
The Speakers
The Grok is open for anybody to lead a discussion about an idea you want to share, a business challenge, a technique or even demo something you've been working on.
You can take a few moments to plan something or present something adhoc. The planning isn't important but if you think you have something that'll hold the attention of a group of people for 10 or 20 minutes then by all means share it with us.
The Schedule
9:30am - 10:00am: Quick meet & greet, munchies & prep.
10:00am - 12:00pm: Session 1 (broken up into 10 - 20 minutes conversations)
12:00pm - 2:00pm: Tasty tasty lunch
2:00pm - 4:00pm: Session 2Â
Head Up a Conversation
Have an idea or a conversation you'd like to lead? Tell us what you want to talk about and we'll get you on the schedule.
If you still aren't sure we'll be doing some adhoc additions the day of the Grok, so no worries.
Parking
Parking at Packard Place is free. Here's a handy Google map that highlights the parking areas.
