ISIS (Amsterdam)
--------------
Isis bought her first (house) record when she was 12 years old (1987). After two years of serious clubbing she started mixing. Very shortly after that she played at the legendary club RoXY on a regular basis, which has been the breakthrough of her professional career. From that moment onwards Isis has grown to be a renowned name in the dance-scene, with tours in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, and Asia.
Besides being a deejay and a producer Isis also runs her own booking and management agency Magma, organises events and on top of that she has her own label ‘All is One’ Records. Throughout her career Isis has been hosting and producing several club nights and events such as ‘State of Bliss’, ‘All is One’ and the Amsterdam Museum Night. For many years All is One hosts an area on one of Holland’s’ biggest outdoor dance festival; Mystery Land. During New Year's Eve in 2008, 2009 and 2010 All is One organized ‘Amsterdams Glorie’, the New Year’s Party of Amsterdam.
KINI RAO (MakTub Music, INDIA)
---------------------------
With rhythm in her soul, funk in her attitude, Kini has been steadily creating waves in the house music scene in India.
Starting off as resident DJ at Poison Hyderabad, Kini rose through the ranks to open for massive headline acts such as dOP, Dale Anderson & Anil Chawla (Global Underground), Djuma Soundsystem, James Harcourt (Twisted Frequency) and Jody Wisternoff (Way Out West). Her popularity continues to grow- performing at festivals such as GO: Madras as well as opening the party at India's biggest electronic music event - Sunburn in Goa.
Her passion for a deeper sound was showcased on a regular basis at Zenzi Mills (Bombay). Her other notable gigs include an after hours set at Bar25 (Berlin), Villian’s Club & Oakroom (Copenhagen) & Public Life (London).
Doing complete justice to her cheeky self, Kini's sound can best be described as an ambivalent mélange of distorted kicks, crispy hats, funky basslines & quirky melodies.
With four releases already under her belt on respected labels such as Maktub and Whose Haus, Kini is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with.
