Chance Group - Feeding the Homeless

The Chance Group brings to you our yearly feeding the homeless event this year. For those not familiar with the process, this is what it entails:

We will be meeting at Van Dyck Park in Fairfax to make goody bags for the homeless. We have usually done it in my driveway or garage, but we thought it would be smart to do this at the shelter in Van Dyck Park allowing us much more space and a cover over our heads if the weather isn't up to par.

We ask for volunteers to come help not only make the sandwiches, but also help distribute the goody bags to homeless parks in DC. Any leftover bags, and we usually do have many due to the increased generosity of volunteers, will be handed out equally to shelters in the area.

For those wanting to donate, this is what we need:
- Bottles of Water
- Sandwich Bags
- Bread
- Turkey/Meat Slices
- PB & J
- Cheese
- Chips/Candy
- Mayo
- whatever else you can think of


Every year, this event has been such a huge success and we make more bags each year. Hope this date works for everyone, and the Chance Group truly can't wait to go beyond expectations once again this year!
