The LionHeart Tournament: A Men's Charity Basketball Tournament

For the first time ever, the Eta Chapter of Beta Chi Theta is hosting a full-court 5 on 5 basketball tournament to cap off its Beating Heart Disease week.

The tournament will be taking place on Saturday, March 31st. We are registering the first 12 Men's teams that sign up. The tournament will be held at The University of Texas Recreational Sports Center.

Registration is $125 per team and each team will be allowed to register up to 12 players.

Every team will be guaranteed at least 2 games and 7 teams will make the playoffs.

Each team will receive free t-shirts and free food.

*****THE CAUSE*****
Beta Chi Theta, since its establishment on the University of Texas Campus, has found the importance to bring awareness of Heart Disease issues to the community. Heart disease is the number one killer of South Asians EVERY YEAR. For the past several years, Beta Chi Theta has worked diligently to reach out and bring the UT community together with a week full of events dedicated to fighting heart disease. Through all of our efforts we have raised thousands of dollars to date. This year Beating Heart Disease (BHD) week will feature the first annual LionHeart Tournament in order to educate and fundraise for the promotion of heart disease awareness.


*****TO REGISTER*****

As team captain, you MUST submit your team's roster and shirt sizes to http://ut.betachitheta.com/lionheart/

You also must pay for your team BEFORE the tournament. We have a paypal system set up if you would like to pay online or you can pay in person the morning of the tournament.


****CASH PRIZE*****

1st Place- $500
2nd Place- $250

Additional prizes will be awarded to the winner of our 3-point shootout contest!!!


ALL the profits from the tournament will be donated to American Heart Association!
