SUMMARY:STARTUP SJSU
DESCRIPTION:StartupSJSU is a weekend long hackathon + business plan
 competition. You get to form teams of people with different
 skills and build a prototype over the weekend. There will be
 judges on Sunday night to pick the winners with the best idea.
 Cash prizes will be given out to the winner to encourage them to
 further build out the product.\n

 How it Works\n
 \n
 Event starts at 6:00pm on April 6\, 2012 and ends at 7:00pm on
 April 8\, 2012\n

 Location: SJSU Spartan Shops Dining Commons\n
 \n
 On Friday night\, everyone is given an opportunity to pitch their
 idea for 1 minute. \n
 \n
 The recommended format for the pitch is as follows:\n
 \n
 -Quick introduction\n
 -The problem\n
 -Your proposed solution\n
 -What you need (ie. iOS developers\, web developers\, marketer
 etc.)\n
 \n
 \n
 After the pitches\, you will have time to build your team. Teams
 will work through the weekend\, and on Sunday night\, each team
 will present a demo of their product along with their business
 model to everyone including a panel of judges from notable
 Silicon Valley ventures.\n

 2nd: $150\n

 Q: Do I have to stay the whole weekend?\n
 \n
 A: You don&#039\;t have to stay the whole weekend\, but you
 should be there on Friday night when the event starts and Sunday
 5pm for the demo. You want to stay as long as possible to try and
 win this\n

 Q: What does $25 cover?\n
 \n
 A: It covers unlimited food from Friday night\, Saturday and
 Sunday thanks to Dining Commons and SendHub.\n
 \n
 Q: Do I need to have my own idea?\n
 \n
 A: No\, you don&#039\;t have to\, you can just join other teams\,
 have fun and meet new people. In fact\, this will serve as a
 place for you to meet potential business partners.\n
