Midsummer MELTDOWN is proud to bring you...\n
 \n
 AK1200 - Florida - DNB 1.5 hour set!\n
 \n
The longest running D&B DJ in the USA. Member of the infamous
Planet of the Drums crew. Founder of Big Riddim Recordings.
Dave\, AK1200\, has been a driving force within Drum and Bass
culture in America since its inception. From his legendary mix
CD's to his extensive list of high profile remixes and
originaltunes\, he has maintained a presence within the scene for
 more than 20 years.\n
For lack of a better term\, AK is a "classically" trained DJ\,
mixing live for eachcrowd. Every set is unique and completely
dependent on what gets the bestreaction from the floor that
 night.\n
In a time where the EDM scene has completely reinvented itself\,
 AK1200's\n
explosive sets have been spreading the fever to a whole new fan
base. These new fans\, hungrier than ever for the absolute best
in electronic music\, are steadily looking not for their house\,
but for their home. Once they hear "the one" set that changes
everything\, they will have found it. AK1200 plays those sets\,
trust! And D&B will become your home\, it always does. AK\,
alongside Bill Hamel\, and Meaux Green have recently formed a new
project titled 2against1. Under this moniker expect a constant
surge of electrifying d&b tunes aimed straight for the neck\, and
when they hit\, they gonna hurt. AK1200 and 2against1. that's two
names you best get to know\, cos shits about to go down.\n

 *******Butch Clancy***** \n
 Detroit\, MI\n
 Dubstep http://soundcloud.com/butchclancy\n
 \n
Butch Clancy came on the scene in late 2009 rapidly gaining
support from people with a hunger for heavy bass. With over a
decade of experience producing music it's clear to see his
talents aren't held to one genre. From dubstep to electro and
everything in between. Butch steadily gained fans who loved his
spin on electronic music and when Marquese Scott used his "Pumped
up kicks remix" in a dance video on youtube things took off even
more. The video went viral getting over 30 million views in less
than a month. Since the videos success Butch's fan base has grown
and he has gained support from Bassnectar\, Ellie Goulding\,
Diplo and many other artists in the edm community. His music has
also been featured in numerous commercials including a seinfeld
promo for comedy central. Be sure to look out for Butch and check
his tour dates to find out when he will be in your city. But you
can him first at MELTDOWN 2.0! \n

 \n
With the breakbeat and dubstep scene steadily establishing itself
 in\n
Chicago\, Tolgar Alpagut can be seen growing alongside it. From
 an\n
early age\, Tolgar displayed a love for rhythm and anything with
 a\n
pounding bassline. Born in Chicago\, Tolgar grew up in
 Istanbul\,\n
Turkey\, where his musical career began as a drummer in the
 marching\n
band at school. His experimentation with music continued with
 the\n
mandolin\, the piano and then the guitar. The year after
 purchasing his\n
guitar\, 15 year old Tolgar formed Frantic – a rock band that
 performed\n
throughout Chicago in the following four years.\n
 \n
Living in Chicago instilled an appreciation for house music and
 as\n
raves became more prevalent\, dance music became more prominent
 in\n
Tolgar’s life. But it was not until he moved to Florida\, after
 a stint\n
in New York where he got heavily involved with all aspects of
 hip-hop\n
as an MC\, freestyle performer\, and writer that he discovered
 his own\n
niche in electronic music: funky breaks and jump-up jungle.\n
 \n
Tolgar was back in Chicago practicing on turntables of his
 own\,\n
spinning all forms of breaks: from funky to nu-skool\, as well
 as\n
 spinning drum ‘n’ bass\, tech-step and jump-up jungle. Over
 time\, as he\n
observed that breakbeat\, dubstep\, and dnb with their deep
 basslines\n
and big beats kept people constantly moving\, he soon directed
 all of\n
 his attention to it.\n
 \n
He's performed in international venues as well as all over the
 U.S.\n
from headlining shows to opening duties for artists like The
 Crystal\n
 Method\, Adam Freeland\, Hyper\, Dj Icey\, 30Hz\, Dylan Rhymes\,
 Meat Katie\,\n
 Switch\, Smithmonger\, Monk\, and Lady Waks to name a few.\n
 \n
“Tolgar Alpagut is one of Chicago’s rising talents. As a
 recess\n
resident at Big Wig\, his breakbeat sets have floored the
 Chicago\n
nightclub community at one of the city’s hottest spots –
 definitely a\n
name to watch.” (Chris Gin – Hard Candy\, Localized
 Chicago)\n
 \n
Presently he is in the process of a new EP\, remix work and a
 full length album.\n

Dj Geist has had an unshakeable commitment to drum and bass music
since being hearing sets by key artists of the genre in Los
Angeles during the late 90’s. During the day\, Geist was
finishing his first two academic degrees in philosophy and
literature. At night\, Geist was absorbing the futuristic music
that had captivated his interest. Whether it was the Viper room
on Sunset Boulevard\, Konkrete Jungle Wednesdays\, the infamous
BarnYard Boogie events\, or a rave in the Nevada desert\, Geist
was there to witness sets by artists such as Kemistry (RIP) and
 Storm\, LTJ Bukem\, Grooverider\, and Hive.\n

Bleep are tag team partners hailing from Ohio. "Ragga jungle" is
the most accurate label used to describe what they play – as
they are junglists that lean toward reggae-influenced styles –
but they truthfully are not bound by any specific genre.
Instead\, their focus is on a positive bass music experience with
undertones of ragga and dubwise. Their mindfulness of a
dancefloor’s needs is reflected in their diverse selection of
 drum & bass\, juke\, footwork\, roots dubstep\, dub reggae\,
 dancehall\, and more.\n
 \n
As their individual musical tastes matured over the years\, their
duo performance evolved into something much greater than the sum
of the parts. Recently they released another iteration of their
widely-popular annual mixtape in honor of their Detroit
Electronic Music Festival tradition. Each year they attend the
festival\, perform at afterparties\, and spread their junglist
sound as "brothers". This year’s CD release took on a new
 greatly-refined form\, fluidly transitioning through a surprising
multiplicity of sound: "Feelings for Detroit Vol. 6: Water

 STATIC BROTHERS (Ekem and Enjoi)\n
 \n
Detroit is one of the birthplaces of Electronic Music\, and the
influences there are outstanding. This influence rubbed off on
Ekem from a young age. Picking up the guitar at the age of 11\,
and moving on to other instruments through his teens paved the
way for his love of music\, and he knew early on that was what he
wanted life to be. As the years wore on Ekem was spending every
summer at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival\, as well as at
various underground and house parties. This exposure to the EDM
world had planted a deep seeded desire to learn the art of tables
and mixing. Soon Ekem was borrowing gear and spent his time on
the tables whenever he could. What started as playing at friends
on weekends eventually evolved in to monthly bookings\, weekly
shows\, and now nightly appearances. Today you can find Ekem
banging out sounds at massive events with such high profile acts
 as Afrobeta\, Keith Mackenzie\, DJ FIXX\, Outrage\, Dirty Talk\,
 Vaski\, Danny the Wildchild\, Hatrias\, Dave Clarke\, Umek\, Roni
Size\, DJ Funk\, HULK\, and the members of The Detroit Techno
Militia. As the owner of Sucker Punch! Pro\, and one of the head
members of Strange Luv\, he also helps to promote and organize
 events throughout the area.\n
Ekem's love of Electronic Music\, his hometown\, and his
insatiable desire to perform\, has crafted him a recognizable
name within the realm of Detroit's Electronic Music scene. Along
with his brother Kyle (aka. Enjoi) they have formed Sucker Punch!
Productions\, intent on bringing the newest and best to you\, and
 the city of Detroit itself\n

 \n
Kyle Davis aka enjoi\, has had a long love affair with music. It
all started with listening to mo-town classics and oldies as
child with his father\, and evolved into playing various musical
instruments throughout his school years. Kyle’s experiences as
a bassist for several punk/hardcore bands with his friends gave
him a desire for high energy music while his time as a Jazz
bassist in school helped develop his love for soulful music. When
Kyle was introduced to the electronic music scene in Detroit he
knew that DJ'ing was the next step in his musical career. With
his exposure to different genres of electronic music he realized
he had a true passion for house music. When you see Kyle you can
expect a wide array of different house genres ranging from
jackin/soulful to electro/fidget house. Kyle has spun along side
such great Detroit DJ's as Terrence Parker\, DJ Jacq\, Minx\,
T.Linder\, and DJ Seoul. Aside from being a member of the Detroit
House Collective\, Kyle also helps manage SuckerPunch!
Productions with his partner in crime EKEM. As a rising dj in the
Detroit electronic scene enjoi is certainly someone to keep your
eyes and ears on. No matter what genre of house he decides to
spin you are guaranteed a high energy set that will make you
 dance the night away.\n

Show some P.L.U.R Detroit! Think of the others that don't and
won't have the luxury of a warm home and a hot meal.\n
We have all been or will be down on our luck one way or another.
It could be in the form of needing a place to rest for the
night\, a bite to eat\, a ride somewhere or all of the above. The
rave and club communities are one of the biggest monetary
building businesses in the world. Where better to make a
 difference?\n
How can we make a difference by partying you ask? Well it is
simple my friend\, at participating party locations we will be
collecting canned food and NON-perishable items for our local
needy families. With you donating to this cause u will receive 2
free glow bracelets! You can't go wrong!\n
 \n
 We Love you Detroit! \n
