Please join us for our next Bay Area LifeTech event! Doors open at 5:30PM and the program will start at 6:30PM (free parking in the area starts at 6PM). We'll have a fewer number of speakers than last time so there should be plenty of time before and after the program for networking.
The 3 Bay Area LifeTech innovators that will be featured in 15 min talks include:
(1) Giles Day is Co-Founder of Distributed Bio (http://www.distributedbio.com/) where they work with scientists to deliver the informatics solutions they need. Translating their requirements, driving their processes and freeing them to do more science.
(2) Karen Ring is a 5th year biomedical sciences Ph.D. candidate at UCSF working at the Gladstone Institute in Dr. Yadong Huang's laboratory and will be giving an overview on stem cells and their role in regenerative medicine for neurodegenerative diseases. (3) John Bashkin is VP of Business Development at Zymera (http://www.zymera.com/) and the title of his talk is: "Self-Illuminating Quantum Dots for Ultrasensitive Biomarker Detection for In Vivo and In Vitro Assays".
If any members would like to be added to our future BALT list of speakers or have suggestions for an upcoming event, please contact me directly.
