SUMMARY:Day 3 Facilitating Cooperative Groups Training Intensive (Santa
 Rosa area)
DESCRIPTION:Join us in beautiful Sonoma County.\n
 \n
What does intentional community have in common with the Occupy
Wall Street Movement? Creative and deliberative consensus is
possible - even among large groups of strangers\, and
Facilitators are trained not born --- This is what Democracy
 looks like! \n
 \n
EBCOHO/Cohousing California is very proud to offer this training
-- the third in a series of 3-day residential workshops set in
different cohousing and other intentional communities here in
 Northern California. \n
 \n
All levels can gain from this hands-on training.  In addition
to short lectures\, and experiential practice sessions\, students
 will help design and facilitate &quot\;live meetings&quot\;
with the host community\, Golden Gate Cohousing of North
 Oakland.\n
 \n
The series of 8 workshops are led by Laird Schaub\, executive
secretary of the Fellowship for Intentional Community (FIC)\, 35
year old community pioneer (from Sandhill Farm in Missouri)\, and
highly experienced professional facilitation trainer and
communities consultant (CANBRIDGE)\, along with Betty Didcoct\,
 another long-time communitarian/community facilication consultant
 now living in Colorado.\n
 \n
This session will be held at beautiful Monan&#039\;s Rill
community\, in the woods East of Santa Rosa. This cohousing-like
community predates the movement in the US\, but it has created a
common house and has many challenges similar to cohousing
neighborhoods\, ones that we can learn by helping them with.\n
 \n
Starts Thursday evening with dinner and the first learning
session. Continues all day Friday through Sunday afternoon. \n
 \n
8 vegetarian friendly meals are provided for all trainees\, and 3
nights lodging provided as part of the tuition to full students\,
 and auditors as available. \n
 \n
 Fees:  $400 for full students\; $275 for auditors\; $25 off
per weekend for EBCOHO supporting members. Ask if 4-workshop
 discount still available. \n
 \n
RSVP now to hold your spot\; in the comments -- tell us why you
are coming\, and be sure to include your phone # and whether you
need accommodations. To confirm your spot\, make out a check
for EBCOHO\, and mail to East Bay Cohousing\, 2150 Allston Way
#400\, Berkeley\, CA 94704. Call for questions or to make
arrangements.  You will need to pay in full before the
 workshop starts. \n
 \n
This should be another rich and exciting training event.
Check out reviews from the April and August weekends. \n
 \n
Call Raines or Betsy at 510-842-6224 with any questions\,
we&#039\;d love to tell you more. \n

 \n
 -\n
 \n
Continuation of a 2-year\, 8 part experiential training program.
Open to 20 trainees\, new and continuing\, and limited
number of auditors. People of all levels of experience
 welcome! \n
 \n
 Our host is Monan&#039\;s Rill\, a 30 person residential
community on 400 beautiful and cooperatively owned acres. \n
 \n
Learning focus for Weekend IV is &quot\;Consensus-based
 Decisionmaking&quot\; \n
 \n
Trainees will help facilitate a regional gathering of area
intentional communities to talk about mutual support in the
 transition times ahead.\n
