From Saturday, April 14th to Sunday, April 15th, Austin’s Cesar Chavez Street and the 2nd Street District will play hosts to one-of-a-kind event. Part art festival, part block party, this weekend-long event brings the Austin community together to enjoy great live programming, delicious local food, drinks and activities for the entire family in one of the most beautiful areas of downtown. Austin’s biggest block party presents local musicians, nationally recognized artists, performance groups, kids’ activities, and art installations in a celebration of culture that invites you to meet your neighbors and bring your friends.

COMMISSIONED INSTALLATION:
This year, Art Alliance Austin brings The Red Swing Project to Art City Austin. The Red Swing Project anonymously hangs red swings in public places in an effort to inspire playfulness around the world.
ATTENDING THE FESTIVAL:
BIKE VALET
Mellow Johnny’s Bike Valet is located near the front gate entrances on the South 1st Street Bridge and at Lavaca and 2nd Street.
BUS SHUTTLES
Free shuttles will run from the parking lot at MLK and Colorado Streets approximately every 15 minutes from 9:45 am to 6:30 pm on Saturday and
10:45 am to 6:30 pm Sunday. A free shuttle is available at 2nd Street and Lavaca to AMOA-Arthouse and the Blanton Museum of Art and festival attendees receive free admission to each during the festival weekend.
