Stories have been used since the beginning of time to share human knowledge, history, and ideas. They connect with us in a way that facts & figure simply can’t.
Today, through the power of technology, you have the ability to share rich visual stories that help cut through the clutter to allow people anywhere in the world connect with your story. With social media, you can use photos, videos, infographics and other visuals to share messages that get results that plain text can't.
At the Social Media Breakfast of Houston (#SMBHOU) this month we will be exploring the different facets of visual storytelling. We will hear from some brilliant visual storytellers about how to develop visuals that work across multiple channels and how to develop materials that moves pass the pedestrian to a inspire the people who see it.

Lynn Lane Lynn Lane is a photographer and former videographer who's work ranges from documentary to more edgy shots and focuses on dance, theater, photojournalism and portrait work. He was named one of the Top 100 Creatives in Houston, Texas by the Houston Press. After living in NYC and Europe for 18 years, he moved back to Texas and started the nonprofit Voices of Survivors to give a voice to those who are diagnoses, are being treated or have come out on the other side of cancer.
