At the March April spotlight, group members voted to hear more about products, companies, and apps that are having a positive impact on closing the achievement gap.
Research tells us that the achievement gap largely runs a socio-economic line, and that one of the most critical components of academic achievement is supporting work at school with learning outside of the classroom.
For May, we're springing into action with a super interactive, hands-on learning experience to foster a better understanding of how we can and should be integrating informal learning opportunities to strengthen understanding. The meetup will be our classroom as we engage in project-based engagement centered on connected learning, gaming in education, design thinking, and more!
This will be largely BYOD, so bring along your smartphone, tablet and/or laptop to get the most out of each learning center.
