The one year anniversary of [bas_mrkt] is nearly here and the folks at www.electricavenueatx.com are looking for some fresh talent to feature as our opener at our anniversary event.

contest rules: mix must be from a texas local within the central region of texas (preferably in Austin) willing to travel at their own expense. Also, as bas_mrkt is an underground house/techhouse and techno event mixes must be within the realm of the genre's (no lady gaga/skrillex/deadmau5 and so forth in that fashion). (keep in mind this would be an opening daytime set so something deep would help your chances at winning the slot.

how to enter.

1.submit a mix in mp3 format (under100mb) to basmrktpromo@gmail.com tracklisting included. (if there are tracks on your mix that are promos that you cannot name you can say something like (you wish-you knew) in its place.

2.once your mix is uploaded to the basmrkt mixcloud (check daily once submitted) page post it to this event page.

3.(optional but helps your chances) if you dont already have a mixcloud set up..do it and upload your mix there as well and title it "basmrktanniversarymixcontest" then join this group http://www.mixcloud.com/groups/basmrkt/

how to win.

electricavenueatx will base decisions off the amount of listens each mix has but will also be taking into consideration the detail and creativity in the mix...that being said..just because you get high numbers doesn't mean you're going to win...it has to be good too.

what you win.
opening 2 hr slot at bas_mrkt may 20th, as well as mix featured on www.electricavenueatx.com and a VIP reserved section at lanai rooftop lounge for you and your friends.

contest over may 5th. submissions must be made by midnight may 4th.
