Tickets are on sale NOW! Get yours before they're gone!
Get excited about the party of the year!!!! This year's party is going to be bigger than ever! We have the capacity of 1000+, so make sure to let all your friends know about the biggest and best party of the year! So ladies, start looking for that knock-out cocktail dress, and gentlemen, keep it classy.
Your $65 ticket will get one person on board, and includes UNLIMITED drinks, light hors d'Oeuvres (eat first), and two levels of DJ's and dancing (as well, of course, as the sexiest grad students on the planet)!! You may bring as many guests as you like, but please make sure that everyone is over 21 as those who are not will not be allowed on-board, regardless of if they bought a ticket. Last year we had 750 people and sold out of tickets, so make sure to get your tickets early as they are sure to run out quickly!
BOARDING INFORMATION: We will begin boarding from Pier 3, San Francisco (blocks away from Embarcadero BART) at 7:30pm on April 7th so make sure to arrive at least 30minutes before boarding.
AFTER PARTY: the after party will be held at Bec's. We'll all head back from the cruise, and then continue partying the night away in Berkeley (since we want to make sure everyone can get back in time to catch BART).

CLARIFICATION POINTS/FAQs (updated 3/16/12):
1) For those who purchased their tickets at the lower price of $58, you don't have to do anything. You were automatically upgraded. See, the early bird does get the worm :)
2) Party bus: we are still trying to work on this, but for now it shouldn't be an issue since the after party will be in Berkeley
3) Who can attend: anyone who has purchased a ticket and is over 21 (and has valid identification)
4) Will the main ticket holder have to be a graduate student? I get that guests can be totally unaffliated people, but would someone's significant other or a post-doc in our lab be able to buy and pick up tickets?
A: Anyone may purchase tickets. In terms of picking up the ticket, you'll "pick up your ticket" the day of the event via the check in procedure. You and your guests, whether grad students or not, will need to have in hand:
1) Your individually printed ticket (in the case your friend decided not to go, and gave you their ticket, or you bought it from them, you need their printed ticket).
2) Everyone must show a valid form of identification (must verify that you are 21+). Those not 21+ will not be allowed on-board.
3) After you show us your ID as well as your printed ticket you will get a vinyl wristband, and then with your wristband you will be allowed to board the boat.

VOLUNTEERING: if you volunteer you will receive a $30 refund on your ticket. There are still volunteering slots. Email us at gsc@ga.berkeley.edu if you are interested in volunteering.
This is an automated message sent to all those who express interest in being a volunteer:
To be a volunteer, you should purchase your ticket now, and upon fulfillment of your duties, you'll get a refund of $30. Read the form that is attached to the email we'll send you upon expressing interest in volunteering carefully, and if you accept the responsibilities outlined in the agreement, email us a scanned, completed, and signed copy to gsc@ga.berkeley.edu. Upon receipt of your signed and completed form you are informing us of your intent to volunteer, and we will give you access to the official volunteer Google doc for you to provide us with basic information about yourself, and for you to know who else is volunteering. If we do not receive the form back, we will assume you are not interested in the volunteering position and will allow someone else to be a volunteer instead (thus, time is of the essence).

This year we're renting "The Belle," a San Francisco Bay ship that evokes the city’s turn-of-the-century Barbary Coast energy. The 292-foot stern-wheeler features Art Nouveau style on all three enclosed levels, plus a spacious sun deck and three full wrap-around decks.
