From 12th April - 12th May Write By Numbers (Charlie, Corinne, Emily, Estelle - and friends) take up residence in Wood Street Market, Walthamstow transforming shop 41 into Theatre41 and hosting a festival of new performance writing. Over the course of the residency we'll premiere 18 (and counting) pieces of new work ranging from the immersive adventure "A Night at the Dogs" through "If Wood Street Could Change The World..." created for the National Theatre of Scotland's Five Minute Theatre strand to the Arts Council funded intergenerational project "Once Upon A Walthamstow..." which matches emerging writers with material generated by the Wood Street community. On top of all this there'll be read-alongs, a fresh round of our Cold Writing strand, installations, workshops, rehearsals, soundwalks, spoken word, music, live blogging, an IdeasTap supported 'making of' documentary, our version of a village fete and lots and lots of tea. And - AND - it's all free. Plus, in between shows, you can do your shopping. What more could you want?
We'll be open Monday - Saturday 10.30am - 5.30pm, with late night opening until 8.00pm on Thursdays. You can see the full programme here:
