Auditions for TEDxSMU are back, and even bigger in 2012! We're hosting TWO rounds of auditions this year, one in the spring at the Belmont Hotel and one in the fall (location and time TBD). But first things first! On May 3rd, we'll be out by the pool at the Belmont Hotel for an "unplugged" version of auditions -- we've got a line up of folks who will tell us great stories and entertain us...in 5 minutes with just a mic (read: there won't be projection!). Want to attend? Here's what you do:   1) Register here (for FREE!). 2) Arrive on May 3 in your finest poolside attire (bathing suits are 100% acceptable). Doors open at 6:00 PM; talks start at 6:30 PM. 3) If you're coming by car, we'll take care of the valet parking (but tips are always appreciated!). 4) Check in, buy some drink and food tickets ($5 a piece and Smoke will be cooking up something delicious and the drinks will be ice cold. Cash is appreciated!!). 5) Settle in, watch some awesome TED-styled auditioners, and vote on your favorite. 6) Like any TEDxSMU event, hang out and talk to people, and enjoy music by Rahim Quazi!
