One of the best parts of high tech is the ubiquitous Friday happy hour.
Whether it's Facebook's Happy Hour, NetApp's Beer Bash, or Microsoft's "get drunk and acquire a smaller company" party (kidding), high tech has rightfully hit on the fact that the end of every week should be celebrated with good drinks, great times, and even better people.
The only problem with this wonderful tradition is the fact that it's usually limited only to people who work for those companies or know folks that do. This is a limiting factor in my opinion, because the best part about having a few drinks with a ton of folks is meeting new and interesting people.
I'd like to bring a bunch of great people together from across our wonderful Bay Area scene, buy them a few drinks, and see if we can't start our own little Friday happy hour.
If you're around and interested in celebrating the end to the work week, come by and hang out! If this is a success, I'd love to turn this into something regular.
Feel free to bring a friend. This will probably devolve into us just dominating a bar anyway.
Let's rock, kids.
