"I BBQ'd your mom." -- Conor Sipe, Poet, Scholar, Gentleman
Come celebrate Spring, Mother's Day, and Arlington Neighborhood Day at Casa de Leichtman*. It's been a heck of a year for us, and it's only going to get crazier with a new little Leichtman on the way. Come celebrate with us while we still can - before, as a wise person recently told me, our home defense goes from zone coverage to man-to-man.
So join us! All are welcome, children and dogs especially. Cute babies are especially encouraged to attend. I usually suggest that people should help us break in the back deck and get Spring started right, but we all know that it's been Spring in DC since February.
We'll have grilled meats of all kinds, a few staple sides and some sodas and other drinks. If you feel like bringing sides or drinks, by all means, we welcome it, but don't feel obligated (required for your attendance - yourself and a good time, only).
NB: If you haven't been to our place yet, it's slightly tricky to find (but worth it!). Parking may be limited on our court, but there's plenty along Bluemont Park. Make special note of the fact that Harrison St. does not cross the park. Our house is also an easy walk from the Metro - walk up Fairfax to the Holiday Inn, jump on the Bluemont Trail (first left on the trail), and straight on to our house through the park (about 3/4 mi.).
* Note that the 20th is neither Mother's Day nor Neighborhood Day. But it is also not the same day as the 8th District Convention or the School Board Caucus. So, wins all around!
