Design Matters Gallery invites you to join us for a night of music and art featuring a special performance by renown musician Shane Alexander. This is the final week that Quam Odunsi's Anachronistic Capture will be on view, so don't miss this opportunity to see both of these talented artists in one night.
"L.A.-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist Shane Alexander has drawn comparisons to everyone from Jeff Buckley to Art Garfunkel and Jackson Browne, thanks to his beautifully emotive vocal style and his haunting, finely crafted songs. Born in San Diego but raised in Maryland and Pennsylvania, Alexander took refuge from a troubled childhood in music, falling early under the spell of Simon & Garfunkel's Greatest Hits, an influence that still slightly colors his adult work." -MTV, Steve Leggett, Rovi
Shane Alexander is an internationally known singer, songwriter, and guitarist who's opened tours for Seal, Jewel, Suzanne Vega, Bon Iver, and many other top acts, in addition to his own tours in the US, Canada, and Europe. Songs from Shane's extensive catalog have been featured on nearly 60 television shows and films. Currently recording in Los Angeles, he plans to release his 5th studio album this summer.
