For months, we have fought in many battles together. Our first was at Fan Expo 2011, our second and third were at DTAC & MTAC. but those battles were just a scratch of what is to come. Now we are taking our cosplaying to new heights, our time has come for the first battle in THE NORTH WARS!
For The Ontario Cosplay Wars, THE NORTH WARS are events were we gather cosplayers (not of 50 or more) but 100 to 200 more in a larger scale battle than what we usually do. These will now be held once a year at Anime North (hence the title).
With this is our 4th battle, and the toughest challenge for us to organize, it will truly be a landmark event. The war will be held at Anime North, Saturday, May 26th 2012! We will be assembling our largest crowd of cosplayers in the Congress Center parking lot at 1:45pm and battle at 2:30pm.
What we mostly need are recruits for the battle, a large amount to be exact. so please share this with your friends and other cosplayers in the Toronto area if interested.
HOW IT WORKS - Depending on the amount of players, all cosplayers are spit into two equal teams, each with one Leader. We mostly prefer Good VS Evil (But depending on what character supports who)
With the terrain we have, the two teams will be on the longest sides of the battlefield. When formed a line, the Captains will make a motivational speech to the team. Finally when the signalman says "Go!" The two teams will charge at each other in an EPIC BATTLE!!!
CHARACTERS WANTED - Any kind of characters are welcome, weapons will help as well. We are also looking for 2nd in command leaders. So for the Host to know who is who, here are a few options for 2nd commanders.
"InuYasha" cosplayers
"Dragonball" cosplayers
"Sailor Moon" cosplayers
"Star Wars" cosplayers
"Lord Of The Rings" cosplayers
Directions - If you are attending Anime North Saturday, head out to The Toronto Congress Center (The Dealers/Convention area) and head outside to the main parking lot of the AN side. You will probably see a large sign saying "Epic Battle" or "Ontario Cosplay Wars" held around, head there and we will attend you to your team.
RULES
Killing in the game is not just cutting arms and legs and saying "You're Dead" each character has a amount of life points, lets say about 100. The direct target on the enemy is the chest/tummy (1 point every hit). The last one standing WINS! so remember to keep count.
NOTE: This is a fake battle, L.A.R.P. (Live Action Role Playing) to be exact, so no real weapons or real injuries upon others.
Flash and Video Photographers are welcome to shoot the event. so bring cameras. If you are posting it on the Web (YouTube mostly) let us know.
