Today, the FIFA Team manages a community of more than 15 million gaming and soccer (actually, they call it football) fans across all the FIFA Facebook pages, and delivers content and manages conversations across multiple channels for the world's most popular sports videogame.
Colin Macrae, Senior Director of Communications for the FIFA franchise at EA SPORTS, will discuss the strategies, challenges and learnings in managing a community of massive scale and complexity. Working with partners around the world, Colin will share the stories of how FIFA has grown and evolved in the social context, and how these channels have been integral to the franchise's success on the global stage.

Colin Macrae leads the Integrated Communications Team for the FIFA franchise at EA SPORTS. Based in Burnaby, Colin manages a global team and drives public relations, media relations, direct-to-consumer communications and social media for one of the world's biggest videogame franchises. Prior to joining the FIFA franchise, he was Director of Corporate Communications, leading corporate communications and media relations for EA in Canada, as well as global employee communications across EA. Â Before coming to EA in 2006, he operated his own Vancouver-based consulting practice, Colin Macrae Communications + Business Strategy, and worked with several leading Canadian companies, such as Shaw Communications and Fido.
