The Goat Farm Arts Center proudly presents THE GEORGIA STATE MUSIC TECHNOLOGY GROUP on Monday April 23rd for a performance of new works.
Started in 2011, the Georgia State Music Technology Group seeks to bring new contemporary electronic music to Atlanta. Each semester, a rotating roster of students and faculty engage in a class dedicated to electronic music techniques and compose new works that explore the intersection of acoustic music, fixed media, live electronics, and algorithmic composition. The fall of 2011 saw their inaugural concert performance of original works and of works by guest artists Jon Appleton and Paul Batelho.
The composers and pieces to be performed at The Goat Farm will be: Geoff Massey- Dronology, Madeleine Conti- The Third Jesus, Alex Marse – Sycamore, Johnathan Turner - The Space Between One Stone and the Next, William Hollifield – Spin, Drew Woodward - Walking With Dinosaurs and Tae Hong Park - bass x sung.
THE GEORGIA STATE MUSIC TECHNOLOGY GROUP performs Monday April 23rd in the Rodriguez Room. This performance is free and open to the public.
