On April 27th - 29th CodeFab will again host the Mobile DevCamp NYC hackathon, This annual not-for-profit gathering brings together a wide variety of mobile application developers for a weekend of technical panels and a fun hacking competition. This year's panel focus is the arrival of cloud technology (exemplified by Apple's iCloud product) and what it means as a integral component of mobile applications. Cloud integration will also be a component of the hackathon competition, which will have a new twist this year - developers will compete for prizes in "Iron Chef-style" challenges that will not be announced before the start of the event. The event is inspired by BarCamp, SuperHappyDevHouse, and MacHack, to develop Native iOS / Android, Cross-Platform and Web-based applications for iPhones, iPads and Android Devices of all kinds. This follows the previous iPhoneDevCamp events held in Palo Alto since 2007 and in NYC since 2009. Attendees will include Apple iOS developers, Google Android developers, web developers, UI designers, and testers, all working together over the weekend. Attendees will include Apple iOS developers, Google Android developers, web developers, UI designers, and testers, all working together over the weekend. Development projects will include both solo and team efforts. While some attendees will wish to work solo during the event, we encourage attendees to team up, based on expertise, to work in ad-hoc project development teams. All attendees should be prepared to work on a development project during the event. We have room for approximately 100 developers and we expect to sell out the event as we have each of the last 2 years. All projects competing for prizes will be open sourced.
