The Les Schwab Amphitheater and the Central Oregon Latino Partnership Program announced the creation of Festival de Banderas (Festival of Flags), a family-friendly cultural celebration to be held from 10am – 10pm on Saturday, May 5th, 2012. Proceeds will support the Central Oregon Latino Scholarship Fund.

The Festival de Banderas will open with a presentation of over 20 national flags by local children. Upholding time honored Latin traditions, the day’s events will be alive with Latin music, children’s activities, vendors, artists, authentic food, colorful costumes, a cantina, folkloric dancers, and more.

The evening will be filled with an incredible line-up of nationally recognized musicians including: Miami’s “Expresion Latina” and their ground shaking performance of Power-Salsa; NPR’s best artist of 2011 “Diego Garcia”, former “Elefant” front man; and finishing the night off with the high energy beats of “Hacienda!”
