Dear Friends,

The future of What Weekly is in question. Without the support of our readers, we may have to shut down. Many of you are aware that we hired David London as Managing Director and leased office space in Station North. While we secured an initial grant that was enough to fund us for two months, a pledge for additional funding, from a different source, has not come through. This puts us in a precarious situation.

As of May 1st we will no longer be able to pay David, and Brooke I can no longer maintain What Weekly without financial support. While we’re in talks with potential sponsors, and have begun generating small amounts of revenue, it is not enough to sustain.


Up until now we weren’t relying upon our Indiegogo fundraising campaign as our sole means of support but it is the fastest way for us to raise enough funds to continue. If you have found value in the contributions What Weekly has provided to the community we hope that you would consider making a tax deductible donation. We can transfer money from Indiegogo within a week of it being donated but time is running out. Your donation is the financial bridge we need to continue highlighting the positive aspects of Baltimore to its citizens and the world.


On a personal note, What Weekly has been an amazing experience for Brooke and I and we would like to personally thank those of you who have made the past two years of our lives unforgettable. The friends and memories we have made are invaluable and the lessons we’ve learned will certainly carry over into new endeavors.
